Your 91�� Semester Global Internship program in Palma lasts 12 weeks and features three key components: A full-time internship with an international organization (approximately 30 hours per week), an internship seminar, and the option to take a course taught online through 91��’s global academic partner, ASU. Housing & Meals

Housing

91�� Palma offers students diverse housing options to ensure you're comfortable in your home away from home. From homestays to shared apartments, we will strive for your accommodation preferences to be met. Additionally, all housing options are located in neighborhoods with convenient access to public transportation and shops. The local university is accessible by metro (15-minute ride) and bus (20-minute ride) from the main square. 91�� classes meet in the downtown 91�� offices located inside ELE USAL Language Institute, located roughly 15 minutes on foot from the main square in Palma, and a 10-minute walk from the sea. All housing is located within a 30-minute walk of downtown Palma.

Standard Housing:

Homestay: Includes a single room at a homestay, with or without another 91�� student. Homestays feature a kitchen, living room, and bathroom shared with a host family. Laundry service and Internet access are provided. All homestays are located within a 30-minute commute of Palma’s main square, and the building where 91�� Palma is situated.
Shared apartment: Includes a twin room with another 91�� student, at a shared apartment located within 30 minutes from 91�� Palma. Shared apartments are modest in size, featuring basic amenities with laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, bed linens, towels, and a kitchen. Meals are not included.

Select Housing: Includes a single room in a shared apartment located within 30 minutes from 91�� Palma. Shared apartments are modest in size, featuring basic amenities with laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, bed linens, towels, and a kitchen. Meals are not included. Select housing requires an additional fee.

A note: The default criterion to assign housing is first-come, first-served; however, other factors may also be considered. If we cannot accommodate your first housing choice, we'll let you know before you arrive. Non-standard housing options require an additional fee that can be found in the program Dates and Fees.

Meals

��ǳ��ٲ��: Students have breakfast and dinner with their host families, and they are responsible for lunch. Students do not typically have access to the kitchen at the host family home.
Shared Apartments: Meals are not included in Select and Select Plus Housing. Students living in apartments share full kitchens where they can prepare their own meals. There is a wide range of restaurants and cafés located around the city and the building where classes are offered.

Arizona State University (ASU): Brought to you by 91�� in partnership with ASU, enhance your international coursework with online classes that align with your degree requirements. ASU offers thousands of online courses in asynchronous 7.5-week sessions that fit within the 91�� academic calendar.

On-Program Requirements

Academic Culture

91�� courses are designed to follow U.S. academic culture and standards. The integrated academic course, which correlates with the internship, is taught in-person and asychronously. Students are expected to dress and behave professionally throughout their internship and are subject to the agreed-upon internship protocols arranged by 91�� and the host organization.

Arizona State University: Most ASU online courses are asynchronous. You may find yourself in classes with students from ASU, other American universities, and students from around the world. You’ll receive direct and individualized support from faculty, 100% online.

Class Format

Students participate in a full-time in-person internship and required academic course featuring both in-person class sessions and online asynchronous work designed to help students develop professional and intercultural competencies to complement their internship experience.

ASU online courses meet in “sessions” that are 7.5-weeks long in the semester, and all work must be completed within the session dates regardless of when your other 91�� courses begin or end.

Grading

The U.S. grading scale of A-F is used. Students are graded on the basis of in-class and online engagement and preparation, and specific assessments such as project work, presentations, and examinations.

ASU grading follows the same format and standards as ASU courses taught in-person. “Pass/fail” or “Audit” is not allowed for 91�� students.

Individual courses may have additional prerequisites; for 91�� courses, these are listed in the syllabi below. Students are responsible for having their own course approval conversations with their advisors. Your study abroad advisor and 91�� staff can help you understand your course options if you don't see a recommendation that fits your course needs.

Your tasks at the winery will be guiding visits through the vine fields and premises of the winery, explaining the production process. Also, you will conduct wine tastings and be involved in sales. You will be able to develop social and soft skills, in addition to gaining field related knowledge and learn first hand how a winery is managed.
